P5 Series

Penflex P5 Series large diameter hose and braid delivers the same high-quality corrosion resistance customers have come to expect from our other industrial hoses in larger sizes than ever before.

Penflex uses wide metal strip to form hoses along a single longitudinal seam. Our welders then proceed to weld segments together to form longer lengths. Finally, wire is braided onto the hose. P5 hoses are made from annealed strip to deliver a bright, clean finish and can be made from a range of alloys. Solid braid coverage, delivered by our 96-carrier braid machine, prevents the hose from elongating in service.

With inside diameters (I.D.) spanning 14” – 24”, P5 Series is typically used in low pressure applications where absorbing vibration is a primary concern. Power Generation, Steel, Chemical, Oil and Gas, and HVAC, along with a number of other industries, are where we most commonly find applications requiring P5. Often users are looking for solutions to their engine exhaust application needs.
